Doily sixe: 15" in diameter for "PURITAN"; 17" in diameter for "PURITAN" STAR SPANGLED.
First Rnd: With Silver Spangle or White
Ch 5, join to form (1) ring,
* Ch 4, 2 Dc in 4th st from hook (petal),
rep. from * twice,
SLst between 1 st and 2nd petals, Ch 4, 2 Dc in 4th st from hook, Sc in ring,
rep. from 1 st * 5 times,
cut yarn.
2nd Rnd: Attach yarn between top petals, Ch 6, Tr in same sp,
* Ch 2, Tr in same sp,
rep. from * 4 times,
work (1) group of 7 Tr with Ch 2 between each Tr in each petal
(do not work Ch 2 lps between petal groups), join in 4th st of Ch.
3rd Rnd: Ch 1, 3 Sc in first lp, work 3 Sc in each Ch 2 lp, join in first Sc.
4th Rnd: SLst to center Sc,
* Ch 4, skip 2 Sc, Sc in next Sc,
rep. from * all around end with- Ch 1, Dc in beg. of Rnd
(this brings yarn in position for next Rnd).
5th Rnd: Ch 1, 2 Sc in same lp,
* Ch 4, 2 Sc in next lp,
rep. from * all around end with- Ch 1, Dc in first Sc.
6th and 7th Rnds: Rep. last Rnd.
8th and 9th Rnds: Same as last rounds, but work Ch 5 lps end each Rnd with Ch 2, Dc in first Sc.
10th and 11th Rnds: Same as last rounds, but work Ch 6 lps.
12th Rnd: Ch 3, 2 Dc in same lp,
* 3 Dc, Ch 3, 3 Dc in next lp,
rep. from * all around end with- 3 Dc, Ch 3 in first lp, join in 3rd st of Ch.
13th Rnd: SLst to lp, Ch 3, 3 Dc, Ch 3, 4 Dc in same lp,
* 4 Dc, Ch 3, 4 Dc (shell I in next Ch 3 lp,
rep. from * all around, join in 3rd st of Ch, cut yarn.
14th Rnd: Work (1) flower as follows:
** with Purples and Silver Spangle or Shaded Pinks Ch 5, join to form (1) ring,

Ch 4, 2 Dc in first st of Ch, drop lp from hook, insert hook in any lp of doily,
pick up lp and pull lp through,
* Ch 4, 2 Dc in first st of Ch, Sc in ring of flower, Ch 4, 2 Dc in first st of Ch,
drop lp from hook, insert hook in next lp of doily, pick up lp and pull lp through,
Ch 4, 2 Dc in first st of Ch, Sc in ring, cut yarn.
Cont. from ** until there are 18 flowers joining each flower to next 2 lps of doily in same way.
Work 2 leaves between each flower as follows:
join Green Spangle or Kelly Green between any 2 shells between flowers,
Ch 4, 2 Dc in 1 st st of Ch, drop lp from hook, insert hook in next free petal of flower,
pick up lp, Ch 4, 2 Dc in first st of Ch, Sc in same sp between shells,
Ch 4, 2 Dc in first st of Ch, drop lp from hook, insert hook in next free petal on other side,
pick up lp, Ch 4, 2 Dc in first st of Ch, Sc in same sp between petals, cut yarn.
Cont. until all leaves are completed between flowers.
15th Rnd: Attach Silver Spangle or White in first free petal of any flower,
* Ch 6, Sc in next petal of same flower,
rep. from * twice,
Ch 3, Sc in next free petal of next flower,
rep. from first * all around, join.
16th Rnd: SLst to lp, 2 Sc in same lp,
* Ch 6, 2 Sc in same lp, Ch 6, 2 Sc in next lp,
