Materials:
Tatting Crochet yarn, size 70: 4 balls of Green; 2 balls each of Fuchsia, Yellow and Lavender; 1 ball of white 
steel crochet hooks No. 10 and No. 13.


3 piece Rnd pansy luncheon set , placemat, dessert or bread plate doilies and coaster.

Large Doily:
Starting at center with Green and No. 13 hook,
Ch 10, join with SLst to form ring.
1st Rnd: 16 Sc in ring, SLst in first Sc made.
2nd Rnd: Sc in same place as SLst,
* Ch 5, skip 1 Sc, Sc in next Sc.
rep. from * around, end with- Ch 5.
3rd Rnd:
* Sc in next Sc, 2 Sc in Ch-5 sp, Ch 5.
rep. from * around.
4th to 17th Rnds:
* Skip first Sc, Sc in each remaining Sc of Sc group, 2 Sc in Ch-5 sp, Ch 5.
rep. from * around; on 17th Rnd end with the 17 Sc of last group.
18th Rnd: Ch 5,
* skip 1 Sc, Sc in next 15 Sc, Ch 5, Sc in Ch-5 sp, Ch 5.
rep. from * around.
19th Rnd:
* Skip 1 Sc, Sc in next 13 Sc; (Ch 5, Sc in next lp) twice;
Ch 5.
rep. from * around.
Cont. in this way, having 2 Sc less in each Sc group and 1 lp more between Sc groups on each Rnd until
1 Sc remains in each Sc group, and end with- Ch 5, Sc in lp preceding first Sc.
Now work as follows:
26th to 30th Rnds:
* Ch 6, Sc in next lp.
rep. from * around (72 lps).
31st Rnd: Ch 7, Sc in next lp, Ch 7, Sc in same lp (1 lp increased), inc 8 more lps evenly around (81 lps).
32nd to 40th Rnds:
* Ch 7, Sc in next lp.
rep. from * around. Join and break off at curl of 40th Rnd.
First Pansy: Starting at center with Lavender and No. 10 hook,
Ch 6. Join with SLst to form ring.
1st Rnd: Ch 3, 2 Dc in ring, (Ch 7, 3 Dc in ring) 4 times;
Ch 7. Join with SLst to top of Ch-3.
2nd Rnd: Ch 3, (skip 1 Dc, Dc in next Dc, 15 Tr in next sp, Dc in next Dc) 3 times;
* skip 1 Dc, Dc in next Dc, Ch 1, in next sp make (tr, Ch 1) twice;
( Dble-Tr, Ch 1) 3 times;
(Triple-Tr, Ch 1) 5 times;
(Dble-Tr, Ch 1) 3 times and (tr, Ch 1) twice;
Dc in next Dc, Ch 1.
rep. from * until another large petal is completed. Join and Tie off.

Make 8 more Lavender pansies, 9 Yellow and 9 Fuchsia.
To Join Pansies:
Attach White to center Tr of center small petal on Lavender Pansy,
Sc in same place, SLst in any lp on doily,
Ch 3, SLst in next lp, Ch 1, skip 1 Tr on next small petal, Tr in next Tr, Ch 3, SLst in next lp on doily,
Ch 1, Tr in next-to-last Tr on first small petal of next Yellow pansy,
Ch 3, SLst in next lp on doily, SLst in center Tr of next petal on pansy.
Complete joining as before.
Join (1) Fuchsia pansy the same way.
Join remaining pansies, alternating colors as before. Join and break off White.

Edging:
Attach White to first Ch-1 sp on first large petal of any pansy, Ch 4,
* Dc in next sp, Ch 1.
rep. from * across 2 large petals. Ch 3, Dc in next Ch-1 sp on next large petal, Ch 1 and is work in this way all around.
Join and Tie off.

Medium Doily:
Work as for Large Doily until 30 Rnds are completed.
Join and break off (72 lps).
Pansies: Make 6 pansies of each color.

To Join Pansies:
 Attach White to center Tr of 2nd small petal on Lavender Pansy, Sc in same Tr, SLst in any lp on doily,
Ch 3, SLst in next lp, Ch 1, skip 1 Tr on next petal, Tr in next Tr, (Ch 3, SLst in next lp on doily) twice;
Ch 3, Tr in next-to-last Tr on first small petal on next Yellow Pansy.
Join as before, having 1 extra lp between each pansy around. Complete as for Large Doily.

Small Doily (coaster): Work as for Large Doily until 10 Rnds are completed.
11th Rnd: Ch 5,
* skip 1 Sc, Sc in next 8 Sc, Ch 5, Sc in next Ch-5 sp, Ch 5.
rep. from * around.
12th, 13th and 14th Rnds: Work as before, having 2 Sc less and 1 lp more between Sc groups.
15th Rnd:
* Skip 1 Sc, Sc in next Sc, (Ch 5, Sc in next lp) 5 times;
Ch 5.
rep. from * around.
16th Rnd:
* Ch 5, Sc in next lp.
rep. from * around. Join and break off (48 lps) . Make 4 pansies of each color. Join as for Medium Doily.
