FORSELL - Double Knit Shamal Wool/Acrylic A Double Knit machine washable Wool/Acrylic (20%/80%) yarn in 28 shades. Hand and Machine Knitting. 500g approx. in accordance with BS 984 - 1693 meters (1850 yds) - 1 cone will make a garment up to 102 cms (42") in single stocking stitch on a standard gauge knitting machine.

	Finished back ; I have combined several knit stitch patterns for my cable cardigan.
back front right front left sleeve	Needle size: 6 mm
Gauge; 1 pattern = 10 cms, ribbing 6 cables = 10 cms or 4 inches

The back was 55 cms width and fronts 30 cms width, the cardigan is 68 cms long, depending on your knitting yarn and gauge, you can adapt the pattern by, adding stitches or leave stitches out, to obtain another size than mine ( 44/46). Knit a tension swatch in knitting pattern first, to determine your own gauge. Calculate how many stitches you will need for your own size. Knitted in exactly the same way I did; 6 mm needles and 2 threads of yarn; Gauge is approx. 19 stitches x 19 rows = 10 cms or 4 inches.
Options for different gauges ; Your tension swatch, knitted with your yarn and your needle size ; and knitted exactly in my stitch pattern, you will get ; 24 stitches and 24 rows = 10 by 10 cms = chestsize 89 cms and confection size 34; 23 stitches and 23 rows = 10 by 10 cms = chestsize 93 cms and confection size 36; 22 stitches and 22 rows = 10 by 10 cms = chestsize 97 cms and confection size 38; 21 stitches and 21 rows = 10 by 10 cms = chestsize 101 cms and confection size 40; 20 stitches and 20 rows = 10 by 10 cms = chestsize 106 cms and confection size 42; 19 stitches and 19 rows = 10 by 10 cms = chestsize 115 cms and confection size 44/46; 18 stitches and 18 rows = 10 by 10 cms = chestsize 120 cms and confection size 48; 17 stitches and 17 rows = 10 by 10 cms = chestsize 125 cms and confection size 50; 16 stitches and 16 rows = 10 by 10 cms = chestsize 133 cms and confection size 52;
The fronts; I knit both fronts at the same time, knit buttonholes in one side and knit at the other side 1 K st. for button placement
	The buttonholes are given in pattern
3 needle cast of, attaching back and fronts together
I start at right side
When right side is finished, cast off the center stitches, then attach left side
	Both sleeves are knitted at the same time. Increase every 4th row, 1 st. Until you have enough stitches. I had 40 st. to begin with and ended with 80 st.

Pattern knitted with 6 mm needles and double thread will be approximately size 44/46.

Be careful with knitting 3 stitches together, try NOT to break your knitting needle, it will be a mess ! Or knit with metal needles, not plastic ones ! Or use bamboo knitting needles, these are really a delight to knit with.
