FORSELL - Double Knit Shamal Wool/Acrylic A Double Knit machine washable Wool/Acrylic (20%/80%) yarn in 28 shades. Hand and Machine Knitting. 500g approx. in accordance with BS 984 - 1693 meters (1850 yds) - 1 cone will make a garment up to 102 cms (42") in single stocking stitch on a standard gauge knitting machine.
	This is the knit stitch pattern of the cardigan beautiful don't you think?

ribpattern 4 O's = 6.5 cms high	Finished back ; I have combined several knit stitch patterns for my cable cardigan.
cluster stitches ( O's )

back 100 stitches and 113 rows.
gauge; 1 pattern from centre nupp to centre nupp = 8 cms high red. Or 19 stitches = 10 cms and 20 rows = 10 cms The back was 65 cms width and fronts 35 cms width, the cardigan is 69 cms long, depending on your knitting yarn and gauge, you can adapt the pattern by, adding stitches or leave stitches out, to obtain another size than mine. This cardigan was rather oversized for a size 46, so it can be a size 48, I like it this way, but maybe you find it too large. Knit a tension swatch in knitting pattern first, to determine your own gauge. Calculate how many stitches you will need for your own size. Knitted in exactly the same way I did; 6 and 7 mm needles and 2 threads of yarn; Gauge is approx. 19 stitches x 20 rows = 10 cms or 4 inches. There are many raglan sleeve patterns on my website, to choose from. Knit Rib pattern with needle size 5 mm and Rightside with needle size 7 mm and Wrong size with needle size 6 mm

front

Fronts 64 stitches and 113 rows, reverse left and right side. At the button side, I made every 4th O, closed, this means, no YO, but Purl a stitch from a thread between the 2 remaining stitches like this At the opposite side, the O's can be used as buttonholes too.
sleeve pattern is a little different.

Sleeve 55 stitches and 115 rows ( and everybody knows you have to knit two sleeves, don't you ? )
Slip front, sleeve, back, sleeve, front on one long knitting needle. I only had a pair of size 4.5 mm, no problem, this way the neck rib will be tight.

Like this, photo including my little black shadow. He is the only one on this planet, who finds anything I do, interesting.

I have knitted at the neck side, 3 times the O rib pattern, and did not make the YO in the last row, this way I decreased the amount of stitches by 1/6 th. At the wrong side cast off all stitches.
Maybe the buttons are a little too much, but the buttonshop was closed on sunday.

At last my cardigan is finished, it took me about an half year to knit the cardigan. I enjoy knitting and I am never in a hurry, it is the journey, not the destination, as you know.
