BUTTON BAND: Skip this part when you already have knitted the bands
1. Start with left front. Using size 6 needles pick up
and knit 89 stitches (approximately 9 stitches for each 10 rows along cardigan front) between bottom
of hem and top of collar band.
2. knit in 1x1 ribbing for 7 rows. Cast off loosely.
3. Mark positions for 7 buttons, the first one 1,3 cms above the band bottom, the last one 1,3
cms below the band top. The rest should be evenly spaced between these two,
approximately 8,4 cms apart.

BUTTONHOLE BAND: Skip this part when you already have knitted the bands
1. knit buttonhole band as for button band, knitting buttonholes at the marked positions.

cms (27 rows).
4. Shape neck. Wrong side of knit facing. knit 38 stitches. Slip last 2 stitches to holder. Next row.
Dec 1 st at neck edge (right end) every row 7 times, until 31 stitches remain.
5. knit even until armhole measures 25,3 cms (48 rows). Cast off 31 shoulder stitches loosely.
6. Left cardigan front. knit as for right side, reversing shapings.

SLEEVES:
For the increases knit MOSS stitch, until you have enough stitches to knit a stitch pattern
When you have enough stitch pattern stitches, knit left and right Moss stitches
( row 1; K1, P1, row 2; P1, K1 )

1. Cast on 39 + 2 edge stitches. on size 6 needles. knit in K1P1 ribbing for 5 cms.
2. Change to size 7 needles and Knitting Pattern.
3. Inc 1 st at each end of every 4th row to 72 stitches.
4. knit even until sleeve measures 35 cms (74 rows), excluding hem.
5. Cast off loosely.

SHOULDER SEAMS:
1. Sew fronts to back along shoulder seams.

ROUND (CREW) FRONT NECK SINGLE BAND COLLAR:
--- by hand on size 6 needles.
1. With right side of knit facing, pick up and knit 2 stitches from right front neck holder, 16 stitches
from right front neck edge, 28 stitches from back neck holder, 16 stitches from left front neck edge,
and 2 stitches from left front neck holder. Total 64 stitches.
2. knit 3,0 cms (8 rows) in K1P1 ribbing.
3. Cast off loosely.

BUTTON BAND: Skip this part when you already have knitted the bands
1. Start with left front. Using size 6 needles pick up
and knit 94 stitches (approximately 6 stitches for each 7 rows along cardigan front) between bottom of
hem and top of collar band.
2. knit in 1x1 ribbing for 7 rows. Cast off loosely.
3. Mark positions for 7 buttons, the first one 1,3 cms above the band bottom, the last one 1,3
cms below the band top. The rest should be evenly spaced between these two,
approximately 8,9 cms apart.

BUTTONHOLE BAND: Skip this part when you already have knitted the bands
1. knit buttonhole band as for button band, knitting buttonholes at the marked positions.
Check your knitting reference book for techniques.
2. Sew buttons at marked positions on the button band, being careful to align buttons with
buttonholes.

FINISHING:
1. Sew sleeve top to armhole, easing to fit. Sew side and sleeve seams using invisible seam.
Sew any remaining seams.
2. Darn/weave/sew in all loose ends.
3. Crochet flowers, as many as you need, sew the flowers above the knitted leaves, see photo.
4. Crochet all around; 1 single crochet and 3 chain stitches, skip 1 st., repeat.
