Tips for my basic knitting patterns

1 First you knit your knitting swatch, if you want to knit in a fantasy pattern, knit your swatch in this stitch,
2 then determine your gauge, now you can choose a knitting pattern with the right gauge, this way it will always fit,
3 no need for special yarns or needles size, you decide which yarn you use and which gauge you use, so easy.

Tips for regular inch increments
17.7 = 17.75 = 17 3/4 inches. 18,8 = 18.75 = 18 3/4 inches. 9.9 = 10 inches and so on.
Knowing this will make it easy to just round up or down as they are such small increments.

1. Cast on 130 stitches on size 4 needles and use Stocking Stitch.
2. knit even until piece measures 13,3 ins (106 rows).
3. Armhole shaping. Cast off 7 stitches at beginning of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st at each end of every alternate row for 26
rows until 90 stitches remaining. Continue until armhole measures 8,5 ins (68 rows), with 90 stitches remaining.
4. Shape neck. knit both sides at the same time. knit 28 stitches.
Now attach another ball of yarn, cast off the next 34 stitches.
knit remaining 28 stitches. Dec 1 st at neck edge every row 4 times, until 24 stitches remain.
5. At the same time, when armhole measures 8,8 ins (row 70), start shoulder shaping.
6. Shoulder shaping. Cast off 12 stitches at armhole edge twice.

FRONT:
1-2 Follow steps 1 and 2 as for back.
3. Armhole. Dec for armhole at both ends, as for back. Continue until armhole measures 5,3 ins (42 rows), with 90 stitches remaining.
4. Shape neck. knit both sides at the same time. knit 35 stitches. Cast off next 20 stitches. knit remaining 35 stitches. Dec 1
st at neck edge every row 11 times, until 24 stitches remain.
5. knit even until armhole measures 8,8 ins (70 rows).
6. Shoulder shaping. Cast off as for back.

SLEEVES:
1. Cast on 53 stitches on size 4 needles and use Stocking Stitch.
2. Inc 1 st at each end of every 7th row 7 times, then every 8th row 10 times to 87 stitches (129 rows total).
3. knit even until sleeve measures 17,0 ins (136 rows).
4. Shape cap. Cast off 7 stitches at beg of next two rows (73 stitches rem). Dec 1 st at each end of every 2nd row 10 times, then
dec 1 st at each end of every 3rd row 4 times, then dec 1 st at each end of every 2nd row 10 times. Cast off
remaining 25 stitches loosely.

SHOULDER SEAMS:
1. Sew fronts to back along shoulder seams.

FINISHING:
1. Sew sleeve top to armhole, easing to fit. Sew side and sleeve seams. Sew any remaining seams.
2. Finish neckline edges.
3. Darn/weave/sew in all loose ends.
