men's knitting pattern    gauge 20 x 26

Any other gauge will do fine. Knit your tension swatch and if you have a different gauge, go to my basic knitting patterns for men,
and choose the right gauge for this cardigan ( or sweater if you wish )

Old books with ornament images can be find in library's all over the world. This is an image from a book with Celtic ornaments.
(among many other countries).

Another example of an old book; Free men's Celtic knitting pattern knit a beautiful cardigan Great to recreate Celtic patterns.

A knitting pattern for the image at the right side would look like this.

In fair isle pattern, usually not more than two colors are ever used at once in a row.
The two yarns are carried all the way across the row, using which ever color is appropriate at the time,
with the other color carried loosely behind the worked stitches, creating a float or strand.
This is also called stranding. Usually, one tries to limit carrying the non-worked yarn over long distances,
usually no more than 5 stitches. Otherwise, the stranded yarn must be woven in.
I have made no more than 4 stitches to strand or float.

Free men's Celtic knitting pattern knit a beautiful cardigan Example of a color combination.

I made a little alteration and I used this knitting pattern.

I used different colors yarn, mostly blues and beige and brown. Any other color combination will do. It depends on your personal taste
and what you want to spend on your yarn budget. Try to change colors every 2nd or 4th row, for a nice look.
