1 First you knit your knitting swatch, if you want to knit in a
cable stitch pattern, knit your swatch with 1 or more cables,
2 then determine your gauge, now you can choose a knitting pattern with the right gauge, this way it will always fit, 3 no need for special yarns or needles size, you decide which yarn you use and which gauge you use, so easy.
The length and quality of the fiber in a knitting yarn determines its texture, luster, strength and hand. |

Divide for neck. knit both sides at the same time. knit 42 stitches. Now attach another ball of yarn, cast off center 4 sts, and knit remaining 42 stitches. Continue armhole shaping until 10 rows knitted from beginning of armhole. AT THE SAME TIME, 5. Shape neck. Dec 1 st at neck edge of next row, then every 3rd row once, then every 4th row 12 times, until 25 stitches remain. 6. knit even until armhole measures 23,3 cms (56 rows). 7. Shoulder shaping. Cast off as for back. SLEEVES: 1. Cast on 43 stitches on size 3,5 needles. knit in K1P1 ribbing for 6,0 cms. Inc 4 stitches evenly across the row to 47 stitches total. 2. Change to size 4,5 needles and Stocking Stitch. 3. Inc 1 st at each end of every 8th row 5 times, then every 9th row 6 times to 69 stitches (94 rows total, excluding hem). 4. knit even until sleeve measures 42,0 cms (102 rows), excluding hem. 5. Shape cap. Cast off 5 stitches at beg of next two rows. Dec 1 st at each end of every 2nd row 8 times, then dec 1 st at each end of every 3rd row 4 times, then dec 1 st at each end of every 2nd row 7 times. Cast off remaining 21 stitches loosely. SHOULDER SEAMS: 1. Sew fronts to back along shoulder seams. V FRONT NECK SINGLE BAND COLLAR: --- by hand on size 3,5 needles. knitted in 2 pieces. 1. With right side of knit facing, pick up and knit (starting at bottom of front neck) 46 stitches from right front neck edge, 4 stitches from right back neck edge and 13 stitches from back neck holder to center. Total 63 stitches. 2. knit 3,0 cms (10 rows) in K1P1 ribbing. 3. Cast off loosely. 4. knit the left side the same way as the right, picking up the back neck stitches first. FINISHING: Sew sleeve top to armhole, sew any remaining seams. Darn/weave/sew in all loose ends.
