Your website is - to use an over-used
word in the United States - AWESOME!! But this time it is true!
You are so generous to supply the world with all these patterns!

I just spent hours on the web looking
for a cross stitch pattern for Stitch for my daughter for her school
Home Ec.project and just as I was about to give up I found your
wonderful site. Thank you so much. You have made a young girl very happy
not to mention her mother. I help run a youth group for girls which
includes handcraft work and I will definitely be directing the girls and
their parents to you site.

Jessica - what a great website you
have! it's absolutely amazing! I found the link at Ravelry because a
crocheter was saying what great patterns she found here. I got
completely sidetracked by the bra tutorial. If I believed I could get
results that good, then I would definitely be making my own. Yours are
just beautiful. Thanks for sharing your expertise! - Gail |

I just had to let you know how much I
LOVE your website. I have no idea how you did it, but it is truly
fantastic. I'm a knitting addict with 5 machines. I also crochet. I more
often than not go grocery shopping and come home with wool:) Your site
has been extremely helpful and I just wanted to let you know. Thanks for
all your information, Shannon (Ontario, Canada) |
Hi dear Jessica,
when I was surfing in the net - and I am always surfing for patterns,
nice wool and the like, I came to meet your website which was all of a
sudden and then after looking on your site I was fascinated and still
am!!!!
Congratulation, as you asked to send photos of own works I will send you
some
May I introduce myself. I am Marion, born in 1951, three children,
grown-ups now of 33, 30, 25. My husband is pilot on the Elbe river. One
dog named Rex, mixture of Border Collie and Berner Senner hund.
Three granddaughters, more will come I am sure. And here are my photos.
Best wishes to you. Marion from Hamburg |
Dear Jessica,
Thank you so much for your hard work in creating this wonderful website!
I was especially excited to find the information on designing with and
joining motifs.
Your site has the only instructional information that I have ever found
on the subject of joining together motifs. I have seen expensive books
on freeform crochet with lovely designs and galleries but they never
have actual instructions for the joining, they just say "sew or crochet
motifs together"- not helpful.
If I were the Queen of England I would knight you for your service to
needleworkers!
Thanks again, Jean pSmith, Oxnard, California, USA

Hi Jessica,
I just wanted you to know that you are an amazing woman! Until now, I
had never found your website. It is mind boggling!! And all free. There
is so much content here I do not know where to start. It sounds like you
and I have the same knitting machine so your tips and maintenance will
be invaluable. (I wish Brother would start their business up again.) My
intent here was not to keep chatting, just to let you know there are not
enough big hearted people like you left in this world. Caryn |
|
Wow, I love your website. Its exactly
what I was looking for, full of ideas, free patterns (thanks!) and it's
so friendly. I've already put this website in my favourites file. Thanks
Jessica, from Ladonna in Niagara Falls, Canada |
Hi Jessica,
just found your wonderful website, by typing the words "crochet
patterns"
into the search engine. It's so amazing you have all that norwegian
patterns, I enjoy them so much. I want to knit them all! :-) Your
website is such a surprise, such a gift for me and I want to give my
many thanks
to you for sharing this all with others. Regards from Germany, Hanne |

Hi , what an inspirational web site, I'm headed to my knitting bag to
try out some new patterns. I love the Dora the Explorer graphs. Thank
you very much! Pat and the critters.

Hello,
This is not a question at all. I just had to write to you and thank you
for a wonderful wonderful site. The amount of work you have done and so
freely let others to use is just amazing. I'm only starting to knit fair
isle but your site has given me so many ideas and has me even dabbling
in designing my own mittens. So many thanks from a grateful knitter,
Anna from Finland |
Dear Jessica,
I enjoy visiting your site so much; after work it's the best way of
relaxing for me. I browse through the patterns, I try to imagine how
pattern X fits into sweater Z ecc. Thank you so much! Marion from Brixen/

I discovered your website accidentally because I was looking for a
#63 Parallell Cables stitch to try out and since I am a visually person
I needed a picture of the stitch to look at while I tried it out.
You have a magnificent website however the patterns I really am
interested in having there doesn't seemed any instructions or info on
whether they are available to be purchased. Mostly the ones I like are
all European patterns. Please let me know do I go about getting free
instructions or how to purchase the ones I would like. There are so many
it's incredible. Thanks!!! Claudette Clarke

Hi Jessica
My daughter sent me a link to your website today she
loves the
bicycle seatcover even though she does not have a bicycle right now.
She lives in California and I live in Oklahoma, so we don't get to see
each other very often, that is hard. I have two daughters and one son
and they all live in California :( I crochet a lot, usually not
from patterns, but sometimes if I see one I really like I will use it or
just get ideas from them. I like your website a lot. I will visit as
often as I can, Noreen in Oklahoma USA
|
Hi,
I wanted to sign your guest book and thank you for all you helpful
hints. I am learning to crochet and knit a little and you pages are very
helpful. A friend sent me your link. I live in California in the USA and
have visited the Netherlands many times and love it. I found the people
to be so warm and friendly. Thanks again for you helpful information,
Regards, Winnie |
Hello Dear Jessica,
I just found your site. I can't thank you enough for the fantastic
crochet patterns. You are so talented! I know my crocheting will improve
from your teachings. I had to read to my husband about how you celebrate
remembrance day and liberation day in the Netherlands. As Americans we
are touched, and humbled, that you do this. It is amazing. We will be
more mindful now that we have seen how you respect these things.
I will contribute money to your site if you tell me where to send it.
Your talent is a gift, and it must be encouraged! I want to be a better
Crocheter. For me, it is the way to push back at all the technology in
my life. I love that no one has ever been able to create a machine that
can do crochet! It's very special. I don't like the way so many crochet
books say "just do this..." but they don't really explain. I wish
everything was charted - the way you do it. That I understand! I thank
God Ms. Jessica that you were inspired enough to put up a website that
has what you wanted to see on it. Keep it going!
With sincere and heartfelt thanks for your wonderful sharing, Victoria

I found your website when I started to look for Fair Isle knitting
patterns. I've never made anything using this technique and am looking
forward to using one of your patterns to make my first project. I wanted
to send you a quick note to let you know how much I enjoyed your website
and appreciate all the work that must have gone into it. Thank you,
Diane Reno, Nevada |
Hiiiiiiiiii Jessica,
THANK YOU for your wonderful web site, I've saved several of your
patterns and will definitely send you a picture when I finish a project.
I am an avid doily crocheter but want to make some tops for me and with
your patterns I hope to do a few!!! LOVED your picture page and

Hi Jessica,
Love your web site. I began crocheting about three years ago, prior to
crochet I did a lot of needlepoint. However, I am a long haul truck
driver and it is too difficult to do needlepoint in the truck so I took
up crochet. I love to crochet, I can't sit still so whenever I am
sitting I am crocheting. While I'm driving the truck I actually plan my
trip so I have time at the end of my day to crochet. You've also
inspired me to try knitting. At this time I am crocheting a dresser
scarf for my mom for mother's day. I discovered your web site while
searching for edging patterns. What a surprise to find so much more!! I
have a hard time learning to crochet by text directions so the videos
are also very helpful. I live in Renton, Washington (state); which is
located just outside of Seattle, Washington. Recently married (1st time)
to Jerry, also a truck driver. I also have a cat, Hannah, who travels
with me in the truck. Jerry stays home and does local work driving a
truck. Thank you for the time and effort you have put into this web
site, it will be a favorite of mine for a very long time!
Happy trails, Beverly |
I don't often write in guest books,
but since you seem to be such a lovely person, with a wonderful
web-site, I'm doing it after all.
What a lot of work you have put into this site! I'm amazed that you give
so much of your time to helping, informing, inspiring us out there!
Thank you so much!
I came to your site whilst searching for a certain crochet stitch; I
haven't found it yet, but have bookmarked your web-site to come back
after the dinner-dishes are done! Today I found a beautiful crocheted
bolero/ cardigan by the Danish designer Bitte Kai Rand in a store here
in Oslo, Norway. A friend and I have decided that it must be possible to
crochet a similar thing for a fraction of the price (nearly 2 000 Nkr),
hence my searching the web for crochet pages.
It's an open, scallop shell-shaped stitch built up of single chains,
making a pattern about the size of a thumb nail. Does anyone reading
this have an idea of what it might be? I don't have much experience of
crochet, but did learn the basic stitches years ago. However I CAN knit
well, and have knitted lots of Norwegian sweaters since moving from
England to here in Norway over 20 years ago.
Enjoy the spring; you must have some beautiful flowers in your garden
now. Here in Norway we JUST can say that spring is here. My crocus are
in bloom, the daffodils are 5 cm tall and the tulips were 10 cm tall
until the red deer came last night and ate them all! I'd love to come to
NL one day to see the tulip fields.
Thanks again; your site is a treasure-trove which I shall dig deeply
into...Best wishes, Dorothy, Oslo, Norway |

I just wanted to say that your website is amazing. I also live in
the Netherlands, but obviously ik spreek geen Nederlands. Keep up with
the wonderful work! Hye Jea |
Hi Jessica,
I found your website last night for the first time and I am utterly and
positively speechless!! Thank you so much for sharing so much knowledge
and so much inspiration! As I clicked on image after image of your
crocheted designs, I just couldn't believe the beauty of the patterns -
- there is something for everyone! I can't wait to get started on
one of your designs. I have been knitting and crocheting for 30 years,
as well, and I have been searching for many years for patterns like
these.......well, the search is over - -thanks to you! Thanks again,
keep up the great work, and may God bless your fingers to be able to
knit and crochet for many years to come! Judy .us |

Thank You so much for taking the time
to create this site. I learned to knit when I was in the 4th grade. I
had a teacher who taught the entire class. I have been Knitting for 29
years.I live in rural Southern Idaho, so yarn shops and places to find
patterns are few and far between. I knit for my family as well as for my
preemie clothes business. I loved going through your site. There are
very few ladies here who knit. I get most of my patterns on E-bay. Most
of the good ones are from Europe. I guess there is a lot more knitting
going there. I agree I would probably go crazy if I wasn't able to knit.
Loved the picture of your roses. They are hard to grow in the High
mountain desert. I will certainly be busy for awhile with all the graphs
I found on your site. Once again Thanks So Much! Happy Knitting

Hello Young Lady, and congratulations
on this magnificent website. Like you, I have been at this crafting
hobby for many years (over 50), and finding your site with such an
abundance of information, is like finding the pot of gold 'neath the

stitches, which I can incorporate into projects I make. Keep up the
fabulous work.....I'll be using and checking your site very often.

Hi Jessica:
I like your Web Site very much. Specially all the info about the
Netherlands, which I have visited in three occasions and really enjoyed
my visits there. For many years I wanted to go to Madurodam, and finally
on my third visit I went there and loved it.
I used to knit for my children, now with grandchildren, I don't knit
anymore, only for Barbie's, so I really appreciate your patterns for
her. Greetings from Mexico City. Bertha Maria |

Just thought I would drop you a line & tell you how much I loved your
site! Thank you for preparing such lovely pattern charts to your site. I
was looking for a star or snowflake pattern, but I found oh so much more
than I could hope for. I fell in love with at least 10 patterns that I
have taken a closer look at. I am a newbie or a return newbie to

Dear Jessica,
I live in Switzerland and have just picked up crochet about 2 months
ago. I am now on my 3rd project ( first being a little handbag, 2nd an
angora scarf for my husband) which is a netted top for the coming
summer.
I really enjoyed looking at the wonderful flowered crocheted tank top
patterns you have provided on your website and hope that soon I shall be
able to make one of them as my 4th project for this winter.
Your dogs are lovely and I too have a 2 year old (English) red-brown
Cocker Spaniel who is always trying to run away with my wool, because it
appears to him that I am spending more time with my crochet than with
him!
Ok, just wanted to say hi and tell you what a lovely website you have.
Best regards

Dear Jessica, Thank you so much for the
wonderful web site. It is obviously a labor of love. I found your site while

Dear Jessica, You are such an adorable
and lovely big sister with a big heart. I just found your website today
and I am so happy to find out so many crochet patterns. I have been looking
at the website for crochet patterns from the internet since last years but
couldn't find any suitable patterns, most of them in writing and I can only
read from the pattern pictures like what you put on the website. I love
to collect crochet patterns and have spent so much money to buy crochet
books although I am not rich. I just love the creativeness of crochet and
love to look at the pattern books whenever I am relaxing at home and of
course I will knit some when I am free. Malaysia is a hot country, therefore
I usually do crochet than knitting sweater. I wonder if people will think
of me a bit crazy when look at me wearing crochet piece in the hot weather,
but I just love to wear it (my hardwork).
Here I would like to say "thank you, thank you and thank you." Best regards
from Janet Wong of Malaysia |

While trying to convince a friend that
crochet could produce something quite beautiful and not the multi colored

I am still looking over your website, but I wanted to send you off an email
about your site. This is the coolest site I have visited and believe me
when I say that I "surf" the web! I am just amazed at the amount of
work you have gone to, to share your patterns with the rest of us craft
people! This is just a beautiful site and I’m sure I will be looking over
all of it in the following weeks to come! You are a wonder and your patterns
are just beautiful! Thank you again for allowing the rest of us an opportunity
to witness your handicrafts first hand! I just LOVE your site!!!!

I am so overwhelmed with the fullness
of your life with your wonderful family and the lovely web site you have
made. I am a new knitter (At age 50!) and have bookmarked your site so I
can enjoy it more! Thank you for all your hard work. I just had to say hello
from Napa Valley, California, USA. My first finished project was a baby
sweater and blanket for my sister’s new baby girl, Isabella. I am working
on a sampler afghan to learn different stitches and methods. I am trying
to understand how to read knitting charts right now. I understand to read
from right to left on right side, and then left to right on wrong side row.
But the repeat thing is confusing! I’ll hush for now and not take your time.
Just felt an overwhelming sense of need to say hello to you. Best regards,
Deborah

Hello Jessica,
I just want to thank you for your magnificent website with all the pattern
motifs and knitted samples of them. Did you knit all the examples yourself?
It is a wonderful and generous website and I thank you for your efforts
and enthusiasm as a knitter too! From a fellow knitting enthusiast

Dear Jessica,
I am a 55 year young avid crocheter from Mumbai, India. I think an angel
directed me to your website - thank you so much - your patterns are so absolutely
beautiful. As you have said, patterns have to be adapted according to the
yarn and we do not get the variety of yarns that you are so lucky to obtain.
But the patterns still turn out well with a little adjusting. Looking forward
visiting your website again and again. Also looking forward to the instructions
for the flower doilies with daisy centre and rose centre on your flower
motifs page.
God Bless, Wendy Chaves, Colaba, Mumbai, India |

hours. I want to thank you for sharing all your talents with the likes of

Hi Mrs. Jessica!
I'm from Jakarta - Indonesia, it is very nice to know that you born in Jakarta
- Indonesia. I love crochet and it so hard to find a beautiful pattern so
thanks for your website and for your generousity. Things are very hard for
me right now all my time spent for working so I don't have time to make
crochet anymore. I have a dream that someday I have my own hobby shop.

Jessica,
It is so great to meet another woman who has the passion for knitting that
I do. I have more yarn in more corners than you can imagine.
I do have a question for you….the beautiful sweater - breipatronen ajour
steek groen- doesn't have an english translation. Do you have one?
I wanted to start making it the minute I saw it! If I just knew what
the symbols on the chart meant I might be able to do it. If there
are any patterns you might be interested in from America, just let me know
and they are yours. Thank you for your great website. Your family
pictures are wonderful! Candy Donohue PS
I love your dog. I have a yorkie that thinks she is a princess :)

I want to let you know how talented you
are! I love your designs and how generous you are to share them. You have
a darling hat that you crocheted but there is no pattern, do you have one
for it? If you do, I would love a copy of it. It's gehaakt-mutsje-kraaltjes.jpg,
the one done in pink with beads. Thank you again for sharing! Mye

Hello,
I am in Minnesota, just want to say thank you for your website, I really
enjoyed the photos of your knitting. Our family comes from Norway and I
learned to knit there in school. My daughter knits a lot and I at least
try to knit!!
Thank you again for your website, I really like the Norwegian charts! Perhaps
I will design a Norwegian cardigan with some of your charts and send along
a photo. But it will take me a long time to knit it!!
Have a nice day, GiGi

Dear Jessica
You must be one of the most generous hearted people there are.
I thank you very much for the wonderland of needlework that you so generously
and freely share. Just the time spent creating your web pages must be phenominal.
I am so appreciative of all the wonderful things I am able to avail myself
of. I am an invalid pensioner so my funds are limited, to come upon a treasure
trove such as yours is an incredible gift to receive.
May you always be blessed in all that you do, and may your hopes and dreams
come true.

Guten Morgen Jessica,
Ich bin fast täglich auf Ihrer wunderbaren Webseite. Hier in Deutschland

Dear Jessica,
You have the most incredible knitting site.
I live in Texas (USA) but I will be in Amsterdam from the 25th to the 27th.
I have a wedding to attend but besides that my schedule is flexible. Would
it be possible to meet you - perhaps at a local yarn store? I would love
to see some of your work and meet you in person. Sincerely,

Hi Jessica,
Your cardigan is gorgeous! The colors are lovely. It's funny, I did that
cardigan many years ago when it was in Book #79 (they do repeat the best
of the best once in a while from book to book) and I changed my colors,
too. I loved the design, but I thought the colors needed a little more life,
as I see you did, too. Mine was vivid blues, aquas and greens on grey. Of
course, I used Heilo for mine. That cardigan has always been one of my favorites.
I hope you enjoy your beautiful version of it for many, many years to come.
Thanks for sharing your photo. Take care and happy knitting! Mary

I knitted an afghan for my Granddaughter
with one of your charts. LOVE all the Pooh Charts...you are wonderful for
sharing them. I knitted the afghan first and now I'm sewing the square on
the afghan to hide the intarsia. She also wanted Disney princesses on it
so I knitted two of Bridgette's patterns too. I'll send the finished afghan
when I sew the squares on. Vicki Meldrum, Buda TX

Dear Jessica:
Thank you so much for posting your Web address to the Knitlist last week.
I love color knitting, and I just flipped when I saw your site. It's a treasury
of graphs. The first project I made with information from your site was
a cotton beanie. In your honor I made it in blue, white, and yellow, which
I think of as Dutch colors. I used a graph you have with big roses between
rows of leaves. It is very cute. If I can figure out how to work my new
digital camera, I will send you a photo. Again, thanks so much for
making such a lot of great information available. It truly is a "world wide"
web! Best wishes, Kat Lincoln, Virginia USA

What a wonderful and delightful site.
Thank you ever so much for sharing your patterns. I've spent a good half
hour (and a very pleasant half hour) downloading your motifs as they are
just what I have been looking for, for sometime now. I order from Colinette
and it was envy on my part to see you shopping there, I'd love to have been
there myself. All the best and thank you once again. Jean |

I was directed to your website from someone
on our "knitlist" on the internet. It is wonderful to look at! I too enjoy
knitting norse patterns and appreciate all the designs you have. I don't
actually collect dolls, but I have five dolls I saved from my childhood
that I love. They were made in the 1940s I believe. Thank you for sharing
yourself on your website! I live in Columbus, Ohio in the USA. My great grandparents
came here from Sweden. Janet Muench.

Hi Jessica,
Just now had a moment to look at it and it is really nice. You have done
some lovely work on it. I shall be very happy to put a link from my site
to yours. I'm sure machine knitters would appreciate the motifs and for
those ladies that like to make dolls clothes I'm sure they would appreciate
the link too. Where abouts in the world are you anyway....I do not recognize
the language....not that I speak any other language than English. :)) Are
you into machine knitting for garments or for your dolls clothes. Looking
at your web site it looks like you have a Brother chunky? Am I right? I
have the Brother chunky 260 with ribber as well as other machines (too numerous
to mention ;)) Thank you again... Roni Knutson Studio/Silver
