hat
if my stitch gauge matches, but
not my row gauge?Your gauge is for instance 15
20 and my pattern is 15 x 22.
Of the two, the stitch
gauge over 4 inches, ( 10 cms )
is more important.
In a sweater pattern, for example, most patterns will tell you to work so
many inches ( cms ) to the underarm, then so many inches ( cms ) to the
neckline shaping.
In this case, it doesn't matter if your row gauge is a bit off since you're
working in cms too.
For more crochet patterns go to my other crochet
patterns pages.
Crochet a tension swatch first, then search for a
basic crochet pattern.
The best way to save money on your crafting
expeditions is to find a reliable wholesale craft supply source. Buying
craft supplies in bulk is a good way to save money and most of all, you
will probably get the products you might not find in your local craft
store. Many of the internet stores has the same prices for retail and
wholesale. Try to buy some craft supplies on overstock. If it is a
bargain or not, will vary widely depending on what wholesalers are
trying to get rid of, but you can find good deals if you’re want to take
time for it.

Crochet stitch patterns, fantasy stitch with gauge
The stitches given here, are approx. It could be different from your
gauge, when you like a crochet stitch, just make a tension swatch and choose
the right
crochet pattern with your gauge.
Tip: If you crochet through both loops in every stitch, you will have a stiff garment, not so stretchable. If you crochet only through the back loop of every stitch, your garment will be more stretchable and will look more as knitwork. It will have a better drape, and better fit. Using a larger size crochet hook than given or recommended in pattern
or yarn label, will give looser stitches, thus ; more stretchable crochet work. This feels much better.
