2. Change to size 2.5 needles and Stocking Stitch, or any other knit or fantasy stitch with the same gauge.
knit even until piece measures 5,0 cms (20 rows), excluding hem.
3. Mark this row at both ends for armhole.
4. knit even for 3,0 cms more (32 rows total, excluding hem.)
5. Back neck. Cast off 7 stitches at beginning of next 2 rows. Place remaining 11 stitches on holder.

FRONT:
1-2 Follow steps 1 and 2 as for back.
3. Armhole. Mark this row at both ends for armhole. Continue until armhole measures 1,5 cms (6 rows).
4. Shape neck. knit both sides at the same time. knit 10 stitches. Slip the next 5 stitches to a holder. With a second ball of yarn, knit remaining 10 stitches. Dec 1 st at neck edge every row 3 times, until 7 stitches remain.

LEFT SHOULDER SEAM:
1. Sew front to back along left shoulder seam.

NECKBAND:
--- by hand on size 1.5 needles.
1. With right side of knit facing, pick up and knit 11 stitches from back neck holder, 4 stitches from left front neck edge, 5 stitches from front neck holder, and 4 stitches from right front neck edge. Total 24 stitches.
2. knit 0,5 cms (2 rows) in K1P1 ribbing. Cast off loosely in ribbing.

FINISHING:
1. DRESS CORD. Make a cord approx 0,0 cms long for the waist. Some suggestions are: crochet chain st, braids, I-cord. A contrast colour might look good here.
2. Sew right shoulder seam as for left. Sew sleeves to body along armhole. Sew side and sleeve seams using invisible seam. Sew remaining seams.
3. Sew in all loose ends.

2. Crotch Shaping. Cast off 3 stitches at beginning of next 2 rows. Decrease 1 st at each end of next row, and every following alternate row 2 times to 23 stitches.
3. knit even until piece measures, at back, 8,5 cms (34 rows).
4. Waistband. Instructions following are for ribbing. [Optionally knit lace holes, garter stitch, elastic casing, etc.] Change to size 1.5 needles. If no hip to waist shaping, decrease 8 stitches evenly across the row to 15 stitches. knit in K1P1 ribbing for 4 rows. Cast off loosely in ribbing.

PANTS RIGHT LEG:
1. knit as for left leg.

SUSPENDERS (Optional):
1. Make two the same. Cast on 3 stitches on size 1.5 needles. knit even in garter stitch or ribbing for 13,7 cms, or until the length is sufficient, when slightly stretched, to reach from the bottom of the waistband at the front, over the shoulders, and to the back waistband. Cast off.

FINISHING:
1. Sew center crotch seam, then inside leg seams.
2. Sew suspenders inside the waistband, close to the center. You may want to cross the suspenders, or stitch them together in the center of the back. Accent with buttons, lapel pins, or decorative stitches.
3. Sew in all loose ends.
