Green Chenille Purse
1 skein any color of Lion brand chenille yarn
small amount of size 10 thread for flowers
3 plastic pearls
size F or G hook
size 7 hook

using F or G hook
Ch 18, Dc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in remaining stitches (17 dc) turn
Rnds 1 - 31 : ch 3 (counts as 1st dc) dc across, turn (17 dc)
Finish off (cut thread)
Fold piece up to 24th row, Pin evenly on each side.
Attach thread to bottom of right side, crocheting through both thicknesses, sc up side,
then sc around flap, sc through both thicknesses down other side. You should now have a purse
with a flap.
Purse Handle:
1st row: Attach thread to 1st row of dc, ch desired length , being careful not to twist
chain, attach with sl st to other side, ch 1 turn.
2nd row: sc around chain "handle" just made. This creates a thicker purse handle.
finish off.

FLOWERS: using size 10 thread & size 7 hook , ch 7 sl st in first ch to form a ring.
1st rnd: working inside ring, sl st in ring *ch 3 2 dc ch3 sl st in ring repeat from *5 times ending with
sl st do not turn (6 petals)
2nd rnd: ch 1 ,*sc around back of 2nd dc of 1st petal, ch 5 repeat from * around end with
sl st in beginning sc (5 ch5 loops)
3rd rnd: (sc, 2 dc, ch3, 2 dc, sc, ch3) in each loop***keep work in back of 1st round.
Finish off leaving a long thread to sew pearl to middle.
Make 2 more flowers as above.
I attached the flowers to the front of the purse with fabric glue.

Round Chenille Purse

1 Button (optional)

1st Circle:
Ch 4 join to form a ring
Rnd1 : ch 3, 14 dc in ring , join with sl st to top of ch3 ( 15dc)
Rnd2: ch3, dc in same stitch. 2 dc in each remaining dc, join with sl st to top of ch3 (30dc)
Rnd3: ch3, dc in next dc, *2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc, repeat from * around. join with sl st to top
of ch 3 (40 dc)
Rnd4: ch3, dc in next 2 dc,*2 dc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc, repeat from * around, join with sl st to top of
ch 3 (50 dc)
Rnd5: ch3, dc in next 3 dc,*2 dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc, repeat from * around, join with sl st to top of
ch 3 (60 dc)
Rnd6: ch3, dc in next 4 dc,*2 dc in next dc, dc in next 5 dc, repeat from * around, join with sl st to top of
ch 3 (70dc)
Finish off (cut yarn)

2nd Circle:
Repeat as above but DO NOT FINISH OFF
Holding 1st circle & 2nd circle together, single crochet (through both pieces) together Leaving desired amount
of space at the top for opening, single crochet across top of 1 side of the opening. Single Crochet desired
length for purse handle and being careful not to twist , single crochet in top of oposite side of opening******estimate
the middle**** single crochet across to the estimated middle, then chain a loop to fit your optional button,
single crochet next to the last single crochet, continue across , then Single crochet same length for previous purse
handle (this makes a 2 strand single crochet handle )sl st to side single crochet of beginning . Finish off
Tie a knot in top of purse handle
Sew button to match the loop.
