Tips for my basic knitting patterns |

1 First you knit your knitting swatch, if you want to knit in a fantasy pattern, knit your swatch in this stitch,
2 then determine your gauge, now you can choose a knitting pattern with the right gauge, this way it will always fit, 3 no need for special yarns or needles size, you decide which yarn you use and which gauge you use, so easy. Cast on 46 stitches on size 4 needles. knit in K1P1 ribbing for 4,0 cms. 2. Change to size 5 needles and Stocking Stitch. knit even until piece measures 13,6 cms (30 rows), excl. hem. 3. Armhole shaping. Cast off 1 stitches at beginning of next 2 rows. Continue until armhole measures 12,7 cms (28 rows), with 44 stitches remaining. 4. Shape neck. knit both sides at the same time. knit 13 stitches. Slip the next 18 stitches to a holder. Now attach another ball of yarn and continue across second half of stitches, and knit remaining 13 stitches. Dec 1 st at neck edge every row once, until 12 stitches remain. 5. At the same time, when armhole measures 12,7 cms (row 28), start shoulder shaping. 6. Shoulder shaping. Cast off 6 stitches at armhole edge twice. FRONT: 1-2 Follow steps 1 and 2 as for back. 3. Armhole. Dec for armhole at both ends, as for back. AT THE SAME TIME, 4. Divide for neck. knit both sides at the same time. knit 21 stitches. Now attach another ball of yarn, cast off center 2 stitches, and knit remaining 21 stitches. 5. Shape neck. Dec 1 st at neck edge of next row, then every 3rd row 7 times, then every 4th row once, until 12 stitches remain. 6. knit even until armhole measures 12,7 cms (28 rows). 7. Shoulder shaping. Cast off as for back. SLEEVES: 1. Cast on 24 stitches on size 4 needles. knit in K1P1 ribbing for 3,0 cms. Inc 4 stitches evenly across the row to 28 stitches total. 2. Change to size 5 needles and Stocking Stitch. 3. Inc 1 st at each end of every 9th row once, then every 10th row twice to 34 stitches (29 rows total, excluding hem). 4. knit even until sleeve measures 17,0 cms (38 rows), excluding hem. 5. Shape cap. Cast off 1 stitches at beg of next two rows. knit 22 rows, while dec 1 st at each end of every 2nd row. Cast off remaining 10 stitches loosely. SHOULDER SEAMS: 1. Sew fronts to back along shoulder seams. V FRONT NECK SINGLE BAND COLLAR: --- by hand on size 4 needles. knitted in 2 pieces. 1. With right side of knit facing, pick up and knit (starting at bottom of front neck) 24 stitches from right front neck edge, 1 stitches from right back neck edge and 9 stitches from back neck holder to center. Total 34 stitches. 2. knit 2,0 cms (6 rows) in K1P1 ribbing. 3. Cast off loosely. 4. knit the left side the same way as the right, picking up the back neck stitches first. FINISHING: Sew sleeve top to armhole, sew any remaining seams. Darn/weave/sew in all loose ends. Shape neck. knit both sides at the same time. knit 12 stitches. Slip the next 19 stitches to a holder. Now attach another ball of yarn and continue across second half of stitches, and knit remaining 12 stitches. Dec 1 st at neck edge every row once, until 11 stitches remain. 5. At the same time, when armhole measures 12,7 cms (row 28), start shoulder shaping. 6. Shoulder shaping. Cast off 5 stitches at armhole edge, then cast off 6 stitches at armhole edge. FRONT: 1-2 Follow steps 1 and 2 as for back. 3. Armhole. Dec for armhole at both ends, as for back. Continue until armhole measures 0,9 cms (2 rows), with 45 stitches remaining. 4. Divide for neck. knit both sides at the same time. knit 21 stitches. Now attach another ball of yarn, cast off center 3 stitches, and knit remaining 21 stitches. Continue armhole shaping until 6 rows knitted from beginning of armhole. AT THE SAME TIME, 5. Shape neck. Dec 1 st at neck edge of next row, then every 2nd row once, then every 3rd row 8 times, until 11 stitches remain. 6. knit even until armhole measures 12,7 cms (28 rows). 7. Shoulder shaping. Cast off as for back. SLEEVES: 1. Cast on 26 stitches on size 4 needles. knit in K1P1 ribbing for 3,0 cms. Inc 3 stitches evenly across the row to 29 stitches total. 2. Change to size 5 needles and Stocking Stitch. 3. Inc 1 st at each end of every 10th row once, then every 11th row twice to 35 stitches (32 rows total, excluding hem). 4. knit even until sleeve measures 19,0 cms (42 rows), excluding hem. 5. Shape cap. Cast off 2 stitches at beg of next two rows. knit 22 rows, while dec 1 st at each end of every 2nd row. Cast off remaining 9 stitches loosely. SHOULDER SEAMS: 1. Sew fronts to back along shoulder seams. V FRONT NECK SINGLE BAND COLLAR: --- by hand on size 4 needles. knitted in 2 pieces. 1. With right side of knit facing, pick up and knit (starting at bottom of front neck) 22 stitches from right front neck edge, 1 stitches from right back neck edge and 9 stitches from back neck holder to center. Shape neck. knit both sides at the same time. knit 14 stitches. Slip the next 19 stitches to a holder. Now attach another ball of yarn and continue across second half of stitches, and knit remaining 14 stitches. Dec 1 st at neck edge every row once, until 13 stitches remain. 5. At the same time, when armhole measures 14,5 cms (row 32), start shoulder shaping. 6. Shoulder shaping. Cast off 6 stitches at armhole edge, then cast off 7 stitches at armhole edge. Inc 1 st at each end of every 11th row 4 times to 39 stitches (44 rows total, excluding hem). 4. knit even until sleeve measures 24,0 cms (54 rows), excluding hem. 5. Shape cap. Cast off 2 stitches at beg of next two rows. knit 24 rows, while dec 1 st at each end of every 2nd row. Cast off remaining 11 stitches loosely. SHOULDER SEAMS: 1. Sew fronts to back along shoulder seams. V FRONT NECK SINGLE BAND COLLAR: --- by hand on size 4 needles. knitted in 2 pieces. 1.
