Lots of free baby patterns.
Here is
a big tutorial about swatches
I can not create a knitting pattern for knitters in Australia or America
or any other country
They sell other yarns than here in the Netherlands
So I reverse;
first knit a swatch with your own yarn and needle size you want
Than choose your pattern here, so easy
You are free in choosing your own yarn and needle size
Just count your stitches and rows over 4 inch or 10 cms gauge
and I think I have a pattern for you

layette is a collection of
clothes
for a newborn child.
The term "layette set" is commonly used in the United States to refer to
gift sets of baby clothes.
Traditionally, women would hand-sew their baby's clothes during their
pregnancy.
Today "layette" is often used to identify a baby clothes
section of a store. The term can also be used for bedding, accessories,
and baby care items. |
A
is a party in which
expectant parents receive gifts for their expected child. By convention,
a baby shower is intended to help parents get items that they need for
their baby, such as baby clothes.
Knit
baby clothes with soft, cozy acrylic or acrylic/cotton blend
yarns
that are machine washable and dryable.
These sweet little sweaters, and cardigans will keep baby girls and boys
warm and cozy - and looking so cute! To complete this special
gift, have the baby's name or initials embroidered on the sweater.
If you're planning to knit a baby sweater, you'll save money and have a
ball creating knitted works of art!

BODY SIZES:
Use chest size as the key for all its ‘standard’ size data. Body sizes
vary greatly in shape and it is always best to use custom sizes if you
can. However, when you cannot, or are knitting for someone far away, the
size data on the left side, may help you determine what size to use. |

If the neck hole is too small,
Leave 1 shoulder open
and knit a few rows in ribbing,
don't forget the buttonholes
at the opposite shoulder, knit some rows too
to attach the buttons,
now you can knit the neckline ribbing
if your sweater is already finished,
you have to rip out the neckline ribbing
to open one shoulder |

My baby has a mottled fist,
My baby has a neck in creases;
My baby kisses and is kissed,
For he's the very thing for kisses. |

If you have more or lesser
rows in your tension swatch, follow the length given in cm's instead of
rows, in a pattern, this way it will fit always.
No matter which item you choose, use quality fabrics and made to
last.
Don’t settle for ordinary when you can have baby gear that reflects your
personal style!
Tip: You can crochet flowers and sew onto a cardigan, make one also
on the back of the cardigan!

While there are no set guidelines for
what constitutes a baby shower, there are some traditional activities
that are common at baby showers. As it is considered improper for a
family member to host the party because the event centers on
gift-giving, the baby shower is generally arranged by a close friend or
relative.
Often, showers are held during lunch or as afternoon tea parties. It is
common for the host to provide baby-themed games during the shower.
In some regions, it is common to give party favors, small gifts for the
guests. Baby showers, are becoming open to new ideas, concepts, themes,
games, and changes in etiquette.
For instance, once it was unacceptable in America for guests to rub the
expectant mother's tummy.
Beginning in the 1970s, however, if permitted by the mother and if asked
politely, "tummy-rubbing" is now a baby shower event.
