STITCH OR KNITTING GAUGE, AND TENSION: depends on the pattern of stitches in the fabric and the tension of the
individual knitter or crocheter ( or how tightly one knits or crochets, and thick or thin yarns produce different stitches ).
Gauge (Stocking Stitch over 4 in = 10 cm): 19,0 stitches by 27,0 rows.
Body knit by hand on 4.5 mm needles
Ribbing knit by hand on 3.5 mm needles

BACK:
1. Cast on 49 stitches on size 3.5 needles. Work in K1P1 ribbing for 4,0 cms.
2. Change to size 4.5 needles and Stocking Stitch. Work even until piece measures 11,1 cms (30 rows), excl. hem.
3. Armhole shaping. Cast off 2 stitches at beginning of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st at each end of every alternate row for 4 rows
until 41 stitches remaining. Continue until armhole measures 8,9 cms (24 rows), with 41 stitches remaining.
4. Shape neck. Work both sides at the same time. Work 12 stitches. Slip the next 17 stitches to a holder.
Now attach another ball of yarn and continue across second half of stitches, and
work remaining 12 stitches. Dec 1 st at neck edge every row twice, until 10 stitches remain.
5. Work even until armhole measures 9,6 cms (26 rows).
6. Shoulder shaping. Cast off remaining stitches at armhole edge of next row.

FRONT:
1-2 Follow steps 1 and 2 as for back.
3. Armhole. Dec for armhole at both ends, as for back. AT THE SAME TIME,
4. Divide for neck. Work both sides at the same time. Work 21 stitches.
Now attach another ball of yarn, cast off center 3 stitches,
and work remaining 21 stitches.
5. Shape neck. Dec 1 st at neck edge of next row, then every 2nd row once, then every 3rd row 8 times, until 10 stitches
remain.
6. Work even until armhole measures 9,6 cms (26 rows).
7. Shoulder shaping. Cast off as for back.

SLEEVES:
1. Cast on 25 stitches on size 3.5 needles. Work in K1P1 ribbing for 3,0 cms. Inc 2 stitches evenly across the row to 27 stitches
total.
2. Change to size 4.5 needles and Stocking Stitch.
3. Inc 1 st at each end of every 11th row once, then every 12th row once to 31 stitches (23 rows total, excluding hem).
4. Work even until sleeve measures 12,0 cms (34 rows), excluding hem.
5. Shape cap. Cast off 2 stitches at beg of next two rows. Work 18 rows, while dec 1 st at each end of every 2nd row. Cast
off remaining 9 stitches loosely.

SHOULDER SEAMS:
1. Sew fronts to back along shoulder seams.

V FRONT NECK SINGLE BAND COLLAR:
--- by hand on size 3.5 needles. Worked in 2 pieces.
1. With right side of work facing, pick up and work (starting at bottom of front neck) 20 stitches from right front neck edge,
2 stitches from right back neck edge and 8 stitches from back neck holder to center. Total 30 stitches.
2. Work 2,0 cms (8 rows) in K1P1 ribbing.
3. Cast off loosely.
4. Work the left side the same way as the right, picking up the back neck stitches first.

FINISHING: Sew sleeve top to armhole, sew any remaining seams. Darn/weave/sew in all loose ends.
