Free patterns for knitting graphs, color charts for children
Knitting has not only come back, it has also become cool. Witness the cunning little hand knit caps worn under the helmets of the snowboarding teenagers in the X Games on ESPN. Extremely cool teenage boys are knitting. Even movie stars are knitting: Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta-Jones have been seen clicking away on the set. Pick up
a copy of Stitch 'n' Bitch, the bible for a certain kind of knitter, and you can find patterns to knit a Joey Ramone doll or groovy bikini tops.
Some see a backlash against technology. Knitting produces something tangible and useful, for instance, charity-focused groups in the county knit ''chemo caps'' for cancer patients, baby blankets for hospitals and afghans for the homeless. Many find pleasure purely in the way metal and plastic needles click when in use.

Repeating patterns and knitting graphs
he scale of the overall pattern relative to the size of the whole sweater is a key variable in the "look" of the sweater. Large overall patterns eliminate the need for accent patterns, but may be too bold for some wearers. A small, fine pattern makes an excellent background
for accent patterns, but may not be visible with a particular yarn, or may be too retiring for some wearers.
The colors I used are only to show the motifs properly, use your own imagination and yarns for better combinations. |

sweater done uniformly in the same pattern overall is relatively simple and understated, which may be the desired effect. However, it is more usual to decorate the sleeve cuffs and either the neckline or the lower hemline with an accent pattern. The accent band can be rather
wide (often ~1/3 of the total length) and its boundary can be straight or wavy/serrated. |

Bob the Builder is a children's television clay character created by Cody Hill. Bob appears as a construction contractor in a stop motion animated program with his colleague Wendy, various neighbors' and friends, and their gang of anthropomorphized work-vehicles and equipment (all made of clay). The show is broadcast in many
countries, but originates from the United Kingdom where Bob is voiced by actor Neil Morrissey.
n each episode, Bob and his gang help with renovations, construction, and repairs and with other projects as needed. The show emphasizes conflict resolution, co-operation, socialization and various learning skills. Bob's catchphrase is "Can we fix it?", to which the other
characters respond with "Yes we can!" This phrase is also the title of the show's theme song, which was a comic relief hit in England. |
